Prescott Poetry strives to create an environment that is safe for all people to gather, connect and express themselves through spoken word. All people are welcome regardless of race, creed, gender, disability, sexual orientation, financial status, familial status and housing status.
Prescott Poetry occasionally hosts Youth Events and welcomes attendees and participants of any age. However, any attendee or participant under the age of 18 is required and assumed to be under the care and supervision of a guardian throughout the duration of any Prescott Poetry Event.
All themes and topics are welcome on the Prescott Poetry stage. It is expected that some themes and topics can and will cause emotional and mental upset in some people. Trigger warnings are not always offered. Targeted hate speech is not tolerated.
In order to best provide physical safety to all attendees, participants and associates, Prescott Poetry may deny entry to people who:
Are listed on the National Sex Offender Registry
Are the subjects in an active criminal investigation
Have a convicted criminal history of violence against another participant or attendee
Are the subjects of an active restraining order filed by a current associate, participant or attendee
Prescott Poetry, its directors, poets, associates and audience members gather to compete, appreciate spoken word, and connect as a community. Anyone displaying behavior that is overtly disruptive or harmful may be asked to leave.

These terms and conditions (the ‘Terms and Conditions’) govern the use of www.prescottpoetry.com (the Site) and in-person engagement at Prescott Poetry events (the Event).
By using this website, or attending any Prescott Poetry event, you indicate that you have read and understand these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them at all times
Intellectual Property
All content published and made available on our Site and at any Event is the property of Linda Boser, Prescott Poetry, the owner/operator of the recording equipment and the person/people featured in the media. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of the Site or Event. Please contact Prescott Poetry for permission to use any media.
Limitation of Liability
Prescott Poetry, Linda Boser, other directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site or engagement with the Event.
Prescott Poetry, Linda Boser, other directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates shall not be held liable by users of the Site or attendees of the Event for any damage, loss, delay or expense incurred by the User/Attendee, their Guests or any other person connected with the Site or Event, including death or personal injury.
Prescott Poetry Linda Boser, other directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates shall not be held liable by users of the Site or attendees of the Event for any damage, theft or loss of any property, goods, articles, possessions, objects or similar things used, kept or left at the Venue (which shall remain the User’s/Attendee’s responsibility).
Users of the Site and attendees of the Event are responsible for any loss or damage to the venue which is attributed to the Users/Attendees.
Prescott Poetry, Linda Boser, other directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates are not liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of its obligations that is caused by force majeure.
Indemnity
Except where prohibited by law, by using the Site and/or engaging with the Event you indemnify and hold harmless Linda Boser, Prescott Poetry directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses including legal fees arising from your use of the Site or engagement with the Event, and/or your violation of these terms and conditions.
Applicable Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and the country of the United States of America.
Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these terms and conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these terms and conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal of the rest of these terms and conditions will still be considered valid.
Changes
These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate the Site and Event and the way we expect users to behave on our Site or at the Event. We will notify users by email of changes to these terms and conditions and post notice on the Site.
